Asus ROG Phone 2 with Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 120Hz Screen Launched in India
Asus ROG Phone 2 has made its debut in India. Asus launched its second-generation game-centric phone at an event in New Delhi on Monday. The ROG Phone 2 brings a series of updates over its predecessor and is powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. The phone also has an updated Ultrasonic Air Trigger 2 for games, stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and a fingerprint sensor on the screen. Another notable improvement is the phone screen, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Asus ROG Phone 2 price in India, launch offers
Asus ROG Phone 2 8GB RAM + 128GB base storage variant in India Price Rs. 37,999 and will go on sale from September 30 via Flipkart. The retail package for the base phone model will include a 10 W QC 4.0 charger and aeros covers. The high-end 12GB + 512GB variant of Asus ROG Phone 2 is priced at Rs. 59,999 and will hit the shelves soon. The retail package of this variant will include a 30 W ROG charger, aeroactive cooler, and aero case.
For launch offers, Flipkart will offer an instant 10 percent discount on purchases made with ICICI Bank credit card and a similar discount for Axis Bank’s credit and debit card orders. A free EMI plan for a period of 6 months is also on the table.
For accessories, Asus has launched the Twin View Dock at a price of Rs. 19,999, while the mobile desktop station and the ROG Kunai gamepad will be available for Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. The ROG 30W charger is also separately priced at Rs. 1999.
Asus ROG Phone 2 Dual SIM (Nano) runs ROG UI based on Android Pie. It has a 1209-inch full-HD + (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and 10-bit HDR support. It is claimed that the phone’s display offers a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and a touch latency of 49ms, while there is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. Asus’s new game-centric phone works with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, along with 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.0 internal storage.
It has a 48-megapixel main camera, as well as a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera, with a 125-degree field. There is a 24-megapixel front camera for selfies. The Asus phone is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery that supports the Quick Charge 4.0 Fast Charge standard.
The ROG Phone 2 also has a fingerprint sensor on the screen for authentication. Asus’s new offer features dual front dual stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and has extended the ultrasonic shoulder version of the Asus ROG Phone to the gaming experience, just like the console controller.
